So it’s official now. Mike Rogers — the Livingston County boy who became an Army veteran, FBI agent, state Senator and Congressman — is running for the U.S. Senate. It was the most anticlimactic campaign announcement ever (we’ve known for months this was happening), but it’s official now. He’s in. And barring a major upset, that sets up a match-up in the fall of 2024 with U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin for Michigan’s open Senate seat. Rogers will have to win a Republican primary first and Slotkin will have to win an increasingly dicey Democratic primary, but I’m willing to bet
